Who we are
UpBrannd (“UpBrannd”, “we”, “us”) is a registered business name based in California. We design and build websites for local businesses and provide related services such as redesigns, Google Business Profile help, hosting and maintenance, and digital marketing.

Information we collect
Project inquiries. When you use the “Start a project” form, we receive your name, email address and phone number, and anything else you choose to add: your business name, the services you are interested in, website type, approximate pages, features, timing, project details, and any photos, videos or documents you attach (up to 100 MB in total). We also record the date, the page you sent it from, your IP address and your browser type, to protect the form from abuse.
Public business information. We find local businesses on public listings such as Google Maps and keep their public details (business name, address, phone number, website, ratings and photos) in our private customer records so we can contact them about our services.
Calls. We make and receive business calls and keep notes about them. If a call is recorded, you will be told at the start of the call, as California law requires.
Agreements and electronic signatures. When you review and sign an agreement on our private signing page, we record your name, your signature, the date and time, your IP address, your approximate location based on that IP address (city, region, country and internet provider), your device and browser details, screen size, time zone and language, a device identifier stored in your browser, how you signed (typed or drawn), and a digital fingerprint of the agreement and the signed PDF. You are told about this on the signing page before you sign.
Invoices and payments. Invoices are created and sent through Intuit QuickBooks Online. You pay on Intuit’s secure payment page. We never receive or store your card or bank account details.
Client portal. If you become a client, we may create a login for you so you can send us files, documents, photos, images and links for your project.
Emails and messages. If you email us, we receive your message and anything attached to it.
How we use information
We use information to reply to inquiries, contact businesses about our services, prepare proposals and agreements, design and build websites, send invoices and track payments, keep records of signed agreements, support our clients, protect our website and services from spam and misuse, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We use AI tools to help draft website text and designs. When we do, we may share a business’s public information and the materials a client gives us with those tools, only for the purpose of building that client’s website.
Where your information is kept
Inquiries, files you send us, customer records and signed agreements are stored on our own private server. Files you send are kept in a folder linked to your record, and only UpBrannd staff who are signed in to our system can open them. Our website is hosted separately by Hostinger.
Service providers we use
We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:
- Intuit QuickBooks Online: invoices and payments
- Google: maps and business listings, AI tools, and sign-in for our staff
- OpenAI: AI tools used to draft website content
- Twilio: business phone calls, when used
- Hostinger: website hosting, our private server and our business email
- ipify, ipinfo.io and ipwho.is: looking up the IP address and approximate location recorded when an agreement is signed
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
QuickBooks data
Our business software connects to our own QuickBooks Online account only. It uses that connection to create and look up our customers and invoices and to check whether an invoice has been paid. This data is used only to run our business. It is not sold, rented or shared with anyone else, and we can disconnect QuickBooks at any time, after which our software no longer accesses it.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiries and customer records for as long as they are useful for our business relationship, and you can ask us to delete them. Signed agreements, their signing records, invoices and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires or as long as the agreement may need to be enforced.
Security
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to UpBrannd staff, two-step sign-in for our business software, and file checks that block unsafe file types. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.
Your choices and California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it, subject to legal exceptions such as signed agreements and tax records. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we will never treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
To make a request, email contact@upbrannd.com. We may ask you to confirm details so we can verify it is you. You may also use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Calls. If you do not want us to call you, tell us on the call or by email and we will add your number to our do-not-call list.
Children
Our services are meant for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will also be noted on the website.
